Setting up program videos

One of the advanced features available through Influx is management and control of video for seminars and education as part of your lead workflow.

Videos are delivered from high availability streaming servers to a secure interface called the lead resource portal. Leads and patients access this area and can view videos as well as use other communication and resource features available in the portal (See Lead Resource Portal).

Videos are entered into Influx before creation of the workflow maps so that the videos can be added to the map during its development.

Administrators enter user video information and define video rules. The following table describes the options for each video.

Video name Name of video that will be shown to end-user
Video description Short description introducing video content to end-user
Video notes Notes to include beneath the video such as links to additional resources for the end-user
Video transcript Transcript of video so that end-user can read content if they prefer.
Video ID The unique ID of the video from the streaming service
Video length Exact play length of video
Video parent If video is broken into several short videos the parent is entered first and is then available to select from this drop-down.
Force sequence Enforces a specific sequence that the videos can be viewed in. A video will only become available when the preceding video is completed.
Time Sequence Enforces a period of time before the next video is a sequence becomes available.

Understanding video sequencing

Sequencing is a useful feature that ensures videos are viewed in the correct order. It also provides the option of delivering the videos over a period of time such as daily or weekly instead of all together. Enforcing a sequence means that videos must be watched in the correct order and only after one is completed the next one is available for viewing. A timed sequence adds the additional restriction that a video will become available only after a specific period of time has passed since the lead was given access.

For example. You wish to deliver a series of five videos over a week. The videos are numbered 1 through 5 and the order is important to understanding.

The videos would be added to the video section and the force sequence option checked. Additionally the time sequence option would be used as follows.

Video Force sequence Time sequence
Video 1 No No
Video 2 Yes 1 days (or 24 hours)
Video 3 Yes 2 days
Video 4 Yes 3 days
Video 5 Yes 4 days

The result would be one new video available every day for five days. To use this feature in a time based marketing campaign see automating video marketing drip campaigns

Note
You may be wondering how a sequence is enforced when there is no numerical order provided in the Add video page, nor can the order of the videos be changed in the video list. As you will learn later, videos are added to a special track in your workflow as video steps. It is the sequence of the video steps that is enforced.
